The Topstitch Needle has an elongated eye providing less stress on the thread as it passes through the eye. This makes it useful for sewing with thick, heavy or multiple threads. It can also be used for multi-directional quilting because the thread is guaranteed to glide effortlessly through the long needle eye, creating fewer skipped stitches.
